2020: Randy Daniel’s Age-17 Account Conflicts With Onision’s College Transcript

On March 30, 2020, Steven Asarch published an article quoting Randy Daniel and Deborah as stating:
- “When James was 17, he came to live with Randy and Deborah.”
Onision was born November 11, 1985 and was therefore 17 from November 11, 2002 through November 10, 2003.
His Pierce College transcript records enrollment in Lakewood, Washington during:
- Fall 2002
- Winter 2003
- Fall 2003
The transcript is a contemporaneous institutional record placing Onision at a Washington college throughout the period Randy described as Onision living with him in Ohio.
What the Evidence Establishes
Randy’s published chronology directly conflicts with Onision’s academic record. His account was nevertheless amplified in Asarch’s article and later through Randy’s appearance in Onision: In Real Life.
Asarch both authored the article promoting Randy’s version and appeared in the documentary that relied on Randy as a witness. These were therefore connected presentations of the same account rather than independent corroboration.
Randy’s credibility was especially material because Onision has accused him of choking him during a trip involving Ohio and Tennessee (Kentucky being in between). Randy has also been accused of sexually abusing members of Onision’s family by the family themselves. Presenting him as a reliable witness without prominently addressing those accusations or reconciling his story with the transcript deprived viewers of essential context.
